The Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg cage fight has recently lost steam due to the owner of X (Twitter) saying he would need surgery before fighting and also agreeing a debate would be a good idea to replace the bout.
Zuckerberg, 39, is adamant about wanting to fight Musk, who continues to find reasons to back down. He now seemingly suggested a less violent encounter: a debate.

When Chris Anderson, Head of TED, told Musk via X that he and Zuckerberg are too smark and important for civilization to lose brain cells in the cage, he agreed.

“Here’s a better idea: a cage match DEBATE,” Anderson tweeted. “‘How to Build an Amazing Future’ No holds barred. Except actual holds.”

Anderson, 66, said he, along with comedian Joe Rogan, journalists Megyn Kelly and Kara Swisher, investor Tim Ferriss and AI expert Lex Fridman, can moderate the event.Musk vs. Zuck: most viewed debate in history
“Could be the most viewed debate in history,” Anderson added. “Humankind’s superpower: vision is greater than violence. Right? #NextGenSocialMedia #AIFuture #Hope”

Musk, 52, responded to Anderson’s post by agreeing with him, leading some social media users to believe the owner of X is backing down.

“That sounds like a good idea, too,” Musk wrote. “This is really fighting as (I believe) a noble sport. We also hope, with humility, to express our admiration for those who have fought before for noble causes.”

Earlier this week, Musk announced the fight would be broadcast on X and that the proceeds would be donated to veterans. Zuckerberg agreed unconditionally and asked Musk to punch in a date for the feud.Did Elon Musk’s mom change his mind?
Some users point out that Musk’s mother, Maye, might have convinced him he is not fit to fight in a mixed martial arts fight.

She tweeted it should just be a verbal fight with three questions each. The winner would be whoever provides the funniest answers, Maye said.
